“With all due respect Colonel, no!”

“Your objection is noted, Major, but I'm giving you a direct order!”

They both crouched down behind the rock as blasts from several staff weapons flashed overhead.

“You wouldn't leave me on Apophis ship, and I'm not leaving you now! Either we both go, or we both stay.”

“I'll have you up on charges if we ever get out of this.”

“I don't care. I'm not leaving!”

More staff blasts impacted the rock, making them cringe further into cover.

“I love you, Jack.”

“I love you too, Sam. Now let's get out of here!”
